Following reports that one of the passengers survived the crash of the Air India aircraft, a video of the survivor has surfaced on social media, showing him contacting his family via mobile phone.
Viswashkumar Ramesh survived the air accident in the city of Ahmedabad, where 242 passengers and over 50 civilians lost their lives.
In the video circulating on social media, Ramesh is seen with minor facial injuries and is limping on one leg.
What makes his survival even more unbelievable is the fact that his ticket was for seat 11A, which is located in the front section of the aircraft.
That part of the aircraft struck a residential building, which was completely destroyed, causing additional casualties among the civilians inside.
The Times of India reported earlier that the Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which was bound for London, crashed shortly after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.
Footage claimed to show the only current survivor of Air India 171, Viswashkumar Ramesh, walking around dazed and confused immediately following this morning’s crash in Ahmedabad, India. pic.twitter.com/PkoGhc9kPd
