2 Killed in Fighter Jet Crash — California Aviators Had Just Returned From High-Risk Mission

Two U.S. Navy aviators from California were killed in a tragic fighter jet crash during a routine training mission.

Lt. Cmdr. Evans and Lt. Serena N. Wileman, both highly respected pilots, had only recently returned from a dangerous deployment in the Middle East.

Their EA-18G Growler aircraft went down during the flight, and recovery teams later confirmed the loss of both aviators.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

They were known for their dedication and had taken part in critical missions in high-risk regions.
